Under the law governing landlord-tenant relations, there are restrictions on the acceptance of guarantors for rental files.
Under article 22-1 of law no. 89-462 of July 6, 1989, when a landlord subscribes to an unpaid rent guarantee insurance policy, he waives the right to require an additional financial guarantor from the tenant, except in cases where the latter is a student or apprentice.
