Have you been selected to rent an apartment? Find out more about the various steps involved below:
Step 1: Creating and signing your lease
Your future landlord has sent you an e-mail inviting you to sign your new lease. Here are the steps to follow in your tenant area:
- Read and check the lease information
- Verify and confirm your identity securely using our Onfido tool
- Submit your application for verification of your financial solvency
- Sign the lease electronically
⚠️ the lease will be definitively validated once your application has been certified by our insurance partner Mila.
Step 2: Submit your documents for financial certification
As a reminder, financial certification is your ally as a prospective tenant: it certifies your financial solvency and validates your application with your future landlord.
Submit all the documents required for the review of your tenant file (click here to see all the documents concerned).
The Mila insurer will review your file within a few hours*.
If your file is accepted, you can proceed to step 3.
Your file is awaiting processing due to a missing or non-compliant document. You can resubmit your file from your tenant space (for more information, click here).
Your application has been rejected: unfortunately, you will not be considered for the property concerned.
*Subject to a complete file
Step 3: Your application has been accepted: Contact the landlord to arrange a date for the move-in inspection and handover of the keys.
Congratulations, your application has been accepted! Now all you have to do is contact your new landlord to set a date for moving in.
Qasa will contact you to arrange payment of the security deposit and first rent*.
*The amount of the first rent will be determined according to the date you move in (in other words on a pro rata basis if you move in during a current month).
Step 4: Moving in
The lease start date has been set, and it's approaching! As soon as you've received your security deposit and the first rent, you can proceed with the inventory of fixtures and the handover of the keys.
Now all you have to do is enjoy your new home, and don't hesitate to contact us if you need anything.
